Prickly Mo

Prickly Mo is one of our favourite cellar doors on the Central North Coast of Tasmania. Think, ‘man from snowy river vibes’, and a venue that is tucked into the beautiful undulating hills of Eugenana – ten minutes' drive from the coastal city of Devonport – and neighbours the Tasmanian Arboretum. The cellar door sits amongst the vines, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas, and views across the valley. Visitors will also be spoilt by generous platter options, featuring local produce from the surrounding Tasting Trail region, as they enjoy a glass or two of Prickly Mo Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sparkling.

Close by attractions: The Tasmanian Arboretum, Don Heads, Sheffield.

House of Hargrave

House of Hargrave is the newest cellar door to join the Central North Coast wine region – the perfect place for a wine tasting. Located halfway between Sheffield and Devonport, this beautiful venue boasts views across the landscape, all the way to Bass Strait – the water separating Tasmania from mainland Australia. At House of Hargrave, the well-designed venue caters for those looking to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine with friends, family or loved ones. House of Hargrave also serves food for those looking for lunch or afternoon tea.

Close by attractions: The Truffledore, Spreyton Cider, Simon Martin Whips and Leathercraft, Sheffield and The Murals.

Eastford Creek Cellar Door is also a relatively new cellar door on the coast, but certainly serves up a range of options for visitors who add this to their itinerary. Wine tastings and sales include a range of cool climate wines, including Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Rose’, Sparkling Rose’, Chardonnay and Premium Sparkling. Visitors can either dine indoors or outdoors (the venue is open between 11am – 3:30/5pm) with platters available that showcase produce from the surrounding agricultural region. Ghost Rock Vineyard and Cellar Door is a long-time local favorite, and one of the first cellar doors to open in our region. Ghost Rock is a stunning venue and is only a stone's throw from the ocean; with views of the sea and vineyard from the cellar door and dining spaces. This is a must-visit cellar door experience on the Central North Coast of Tasmania. Wine tastings, sales and lunch are available for visitors, also featuring local produce. Ghost Rock is also closely located to the city of Devonport, Spirit of Tasmania terminal, Devonport Airport, as well as Narawntapu National Park and the parks Visitor Centre.

Close by attractions: Hawley Beach Walking Trail, Latrobe, Reliquarie, House of Anvers, Narawntapu National Park and Visitor Centre.
